Northpower is thrilled to announce our partnership with Parasol to give young people in Northland a chance to gain experience with the latest technologies, trends and ways to develop efficient software.
Having Parasol as our software partner, allows us not only to get our applications built without having the internal bottleneck through a partner that provides multiple teams if needed, but also gives us the opportunity to gain fresh ideas and trial new functions, that we would have no time to try,” Andreas Gabler, Northpower’s Group Manager for Contracting Platforms comments.
“Northpower has the goal to support our local community, keep our local talents here and provide interesting opportunities, so it was an easy decision to partner up with Parasol.”
Northpower is continually investing in tools to improve on our customer experience and we're always on the lookout for strong development partners. Parasol is a Whangārei-based software start-up that was first born out of the Developers Institute and is now giving new Graduates an opportunity to join them in the world of software development.
I am passionate about being a part of Parasol and its commitment to developing digital technology capability in Northland and remotely across NZ," says Tammy Auranen, General Manager at Parasol.
"We employ graduates from the Developers Institute and place them in teams with highly skilled industry experts to develop code for our clients, providing a path for employment and creating much needed skills for the future."
Parasol is excited to be working with Northpower to provide in-sourced professional software development locally in Northland," says George Norris, Chief Executive of both Parasol and the Developers Institute.
"The partnership with Northpower sits alongside Parasol's partnership with Whangārei-based Developers Institute, which provides remote, agile, and apprentice-style and NZQA approved professional software development training and education here in Northland. Our team that develops software for Northpower consists of experienced software developers and Associate Developers who have recently graduated from the Developers Institute."
We're very excited to see where this partnership will take us.
