COVID-19 Response – ensuring a reliable electricity and fibre broadband supply

During the current COVID-19 Omicron outbreak, we will be continuing work to ensure the continued supply of safe, reliable, and affordable power.

Over this period you can expect the following from us:

  • Essential maintenance will proceed where possible and some of this will involve power outages.
  • We will review all outages to ensure that the duration and number of customers affected are minimised.
  • As always, we will notify you of the outage at least 5 days in advance via email or post so you can plan. Changes or cancelation of outages may occur as we work with fluctuating staff numbers due to many isolating at this time, updates can also be found on our outages page.
  • Continuing with this essential work, decreases the likelihood of unplanned outages and improves the performance, safety, and reliability of the network.
  • Our operations centre continues 24/7, providing oversight of these networks and dispatching crews to where they are needed.
  • Our customer team are on the phones and monitoring our Facebook page to respond to any queries you may have.

We appreciate that in these uncertain times a power outage is an added inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding and patience as we all navigate through this together.

We are committed to providing a safe and reliable electricity and fibre network during these difficult and unprecedented times. While many of our team will be working remotely from their homes, we are here and ready to help.
