Nikki Davies-Colley

Elected Chairman in August 2014, Nikki has been a Director of Northpower since 1995. She has previously chaired the Audit Committee, and served as a West Coast Energy Director from August 2009 until October 2014, and an inaugural Northpower Fibre Director since December 2010 until July 2014. Nikki is a Chartered Fellow of the NZ Institute of Directors, a Kellogg Scholar and holds a Masters of Business Administration.

Nikki and her husband Peter have been farming and involved in all aspects of the Forestry industry in Northland for over 30 years. Appointed in December 2011, and re-elected in 2014, Nikki is a founding Director of the merged Farmlands Co-operative Society Ltd, it's subsidiary Farmlands Finance Ltd, and sits on the Farmlands Remuneration Sub-Committee. She is also a Director of Landcorp Ltd since May 2012, and Chairs the Employment Sub-Committee of that company.

Mark Trigg

Mark joins the Board in 2015, and brings extensive industry experience through his 18 years in the electricity generation and retailing sector. During that time he has had responsibility for business development (including offshore investments), large scale project management, operations, strategy and trading. Prior to his time in the electricity sector he had a decade in the financial markets industry. Mark is also a Director of Century Drilling and Energy Services, a privately owned company specialising in providing drilling services to the geothermal and oil and gas sectors, and engineering services to the geothermal and hydro generation sectors.

Lloyd Richards

Lloyd has over 35 years engineering, construction and management experience working for Northpower. Lloyd is responsible for Northpower’s Contracting Division in New Zealand with hundreds of staff covering electrical and fibre communications; ensuring contracts are fulfilled to client and business requirements.

Paul McElwee

Paul McElwee has been in senior leadership roles in the commercial sector for over 15 years and joined Northpower in 2014 following many years focussed on driving business performance in corporate heavyweights such as New Zealand Dairy Foods, Fonterra and Pact Group. Paul’s experience spans both the public and private sectors across New Zealand and Australia. He also currently sits on the Auckland leadership team for Institute of Chartered Accountants where he assists with driving change in the profession.

Richard Pearce

Richard has over 20 years of experience in the electricity and production industries. He has held senior leadership positions in engineering, consulting, asset management, and business development, and has successfully delivered major infrastructure projects throughout his career. Richard joined Northpower in 2014 and is responsible for strategic development and regulatory within the Northpower Group.

Josie Boyd

As General Counsel, Josie is responsible for management of the provision of legal services to the Northpower Group along with providing legal compliance and regulatory support. Josie joined Northpower in 2011, and prior to that worked in New Zealand and the UK in a range of private practice and in house corporate roles in the utilities, construction and professional services industries.

John joined Northpower at the beginning of 2017, responsible for asset management, project, inspection solutions, and providing asset management expertise through the wider business.  John has held a number of senior management and executive positions in generation and utility development and operations.  John’s experience covers the entire value chain from strategy development to commercial and asset management practice.

Andrea O'Brien

Andrea joined Northpower in 2009 as the Manager, Human Resources and Safety and was promoted to the role of Group Manager, Human Resources and Safety in 2016 based in Whangarei.  Andrea has over 20 years’ experience in human resources, safety and quality management working previously in the timber, forestry and mining industries.  Andrea attended London Business School in 2016 to look at Transformational HR Strategy.

Darren Mason
Northpower Fibre CEO

Darren joined Northpower in 1996 and has been instrumental in the company securing the Whangarei UFB build. Prior to his appointment as Northpower Fibre CEO, Darren was Northpower’s longstanding Marketing and Fibre Manager.
