Our leadership team includes two Government representatives, two Northpower representatives and an independent Chair.
Jo is Chair of Northpower Fibre, Chair of Landcare Research, Founding Chair of Leadership New Zealand and a director of other companies and organisations. She was formerly CEO of the Northland Regional Council and then of the Auckland Regional Council. She has spoken on and facilitated programmes on leadership, strategy and organisational change worldwide.
Graham is Chief Executive of Crown Infrastructure Partners (formerly Crown Fibre Holdings). He was previously CEO of Cogent Communications. He has held numerous senior management positions at Telecom New Zealand. A chartered accountant, he also has a considerable corporate finance background having held senior roles with Brierley Investments, Electricity Corporation and Transpower.
Andrew was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Northpower in July 2017. Prior to joining the Northpower team he held senior positions across the electricity, oil and gas, and water utility sectors, most recently leading Powerco’s electricity division. Andrew is a chartered professional engineer with tertiary qualifications in engineering and finance. His experience spans asset strategy, construction management, and business leadership, gained across New Zealand and within the United Kingdom. Andrew’s focus is positioning Northpower to deliver long-term benefits to Whangarei and Kaipara consumers via returns to the Northpower Trust, appropriate infrastructure investment, local employment, advocacy in energy markets, and strong customer service.
As General Manager Network, Josie is responsible for leading the customer, operational, commercial, customer and regulatory aspects of Northpower’s electricity network business. Josie is a director of Northpower Fibre.
Josie joined Northpower in 2011, was its General Counsel for a number of years and prior to that worked in New Zealand and the UK in a range of private practice and in-house corporate roles in the utilities, construction and professional services industries.
Kathryn is Chief Legal and Risk Officer of Crown Infrastructure Partners (formerly Crown Fibre Holdings). Kathryn was previously General Counsel and Corporate Risk Officer at Transfield Services (now Broadspectrum) in New Zealand and has held various other legal and tax management roles spanning a diverse range of industries including telecommunications, power generation, electrical engineering, facilities management and roads and infrastructure.
Darren joined Northpower in 1996 and was instrumental in the company securing the Whangarei UFB build. Prior to his appointment as Northpower Fibre CEO in 2011, Darren was Northpower’s longstanding Marketing and Fibre Manager.
