Due to the risk of destabilisation causing collapse, there are minimum limits for digging or excavating around our power poles.
If you need to work closer than five metres from a power pole, you'll need to contact us to obtain a Close Approach Consent. We'll need a minimum of two days to process your application.
We’ll also advise if you'll need additional pole supports to prevent poles collapsing - and if necessary, we’ll come on site to give you on the spot support.
