Here at Northpower we have four behaviours that are at the core of everything we do.
The taonga that accompany our behaviours were designed by our own people from across the business, and have great mana within our business. Each behaviour has a whakatauki (proverb) aligned with it, to explain the essence and meaning behind it.
Every day we see real examples of our people putting our behaviours into action and bringing them to life.
Be mindful, be present, be safe / He ko tahi manaaki tatau katoa
"What is precious to one we must all take care of, protect and treasure."
This behaviour symbolises safety within our business - that we protect ourselves and look out for those around us.
Act as one / Kotahitanga
"We stand together, we move together"
We respect each other and work together to achieve our objectives. We strive to understand our customers' needs.
Earn the trust / Te toia, te haumatia
"Nothing can be achieved without a plan, a workforce, and way of doing things."
We build our reputation through our decision and actions.
Own the outcome / Kia mau te kaupapa
"We take ownership of our actions"
We are proactive in our approach and demonstrate accountability for all aspects of our work.
