You may have noticed our crews doing some work at our substation in the Forum North carpark recently. We apologise for any inconvenience but this is an important job to ensure reliable power is provided to the CBD.
We are replacing 45 year old equipment in this building with modern, safer equipment, as well as undertaking some much needed building maintenance.
The project will provide a safer working environment for our staff and also enables us to operate the new equipment remotely from our control room – meaning in the event of an outage we can restore power more quickly.
This will also be the site of the new Tesla EV Supercharger, so keep an eye out for that in the next couple of months!
