When doing your spring clean up, make sure trees are well clear of powerlines. All vegetation needs to be at least 4 metres from lines.
To avoid power cuts at your place it is also important to make sure trees near your service line (the powerline from your property boundary to your home, business or shed) are well clear of the lines.
