This year we expect to spend $11m replacing equipment that has reached end of its life – including hundreds of poles, cross arms and conductors (powerlines) across the network.
A recent large job in Mangawhai saw a team of 35 (including lines staff and traffic management) replace the power lines in Wood, Margaret and Robert Streets that supply over 200 homes.
A huge amount of planning was involved to get it done within a day and a big thanks to the local businesses and residents for being so understanding.
