$5 million dollar line charge holiday
Northpower consumers are set to receive something back from their local lines company. Northpower will provide all consumers connected to its network with a line charge holiday, which this year totals $5 million.
The credit will appear with the description “Northpower Line Holiday” on March power accounts regardless of their electricity retailer. The credit will be distributed to all consumers connected to Northpower’s lines as at midnight 23rd February 2010.
Northpower network consumers who use between 2,000 - 15,000 units per year will receive a $95 credit. Small consumers (less than 2000 units) will receive $35 and the large consumers (greater than 15000 units) will receive $145. The amount of credit is based on your power accounts consumption over the last 12 months.
Northpower Chairman Warren Moyes is pleased to be able to pass on this contribution to Northpower consumers.
“Consumers will save a total of $5 million on line charges. This amount is what the company would have expected to receive for maintaining and operating the lines, transformers, and poles for nearly two months. Included in this amount, Northpower is also returning a $360,000 industry rebate to consumers.” Mr Moyes said.
The line charge holiday is the best way Northpower can reduce your annual electricity charges. Northpower continues to do its best for consumers and Northland by providing cost effective electricity line services that are safe and reliable.
