Line charges for Electricity Retailers operating in Northpower’s Network will increase from 1 April 2009. The additional cost to Retailers such as Meridian, Genesis, Empower, Contact and Mercury equates to just 13 cents per day for the average domestic consumer.

A man found dead at a Whangarei power company this morning probably suffered a heart attack, his employer said.

Colleagues found a Northpower employee at Whangarei depot dead this morning near his vehicle. It is believed he passed away last night from what appears to be natural causes.
