The final results for the Northpower Electric Power Trust elections held on Friday 19th November are as follows.
I confirm that the official result was determined after the scrutiny of all returned voting papers and counting of valid votes.

I therefore declare Richard Drake and Sheena McKenzie as Trustees for Kaipara District for the Northpower Electric Power Trust.
The voter return was 29.36%, being 19,663 internet and postal votes.

The Trustees are elected from the Whangarei and Kaipara districts every three years at the same time as the local body elections. Every five years consumers are also given the opportunity to review the current ownership structure to ensure it is what they still want. The five yearly ownership review was held in the months of May and June 2007 and the Trustees unanimously voted to retain the present share ownership structure.
